Cures

Life at home during the fifteenth century involved an unceasing attempt to keep away diseases. Some believed that purifying the air by burning wood and herbs might ward them off, while others turned to supernatural healing. Knowledge about medical treatments to fully recover was very rare and the information we have today about medieval hospitals is limited. Since religion played such a key role, the majority believed that obtaining the blessing of God was the most effective guarantee of a healthy life.
